Around midnight Halelah woke me up saying she had a bad dream. "Mommy, will you pray for me?" Somewhat incoherantly I prayed a one liner and fell back asleep. After a few minutes.."Mommy, Im still having bad dreams. Will you pray for me and and sing me "Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, from Psalty Kids Praise?". Okay. One line prayer again and the first line of the song. Snore... After a few more minutes... "Mommy, will you sing me ALL of Psalty Kids praise songs now?" I began laughing and then...we were both snoring once again.
I was touched that at her little age when she wakes up with bad dreams it is so natural for her to ask for prayer, to believe that it will work and to want worship songs sung to soothe her.
Am I like that in a crisis?
